UNTO the Outlands College of Heralds, our respected friends and colleagues who give freely of their time to provide commentary, and all others who come by these letters, on this Letter of Presentation, on the 19th day of April, A.S.XXXX (2006 CE), does Lord Cameron deBlakstan send greetings on behalf of Lady Sorcha MacLeod, White Stag Principal Herald.

Anyone may comment upon the items found herein, and e-mail commentary to the Rampart address is encouraged. Please have comments on items contained herein to Rampart, Furukusu Masahide-dono by May 13, 2006, for the White Stag decision meeting tenatively scheduled for May 14, 2006.

I present the following items for your consideration:

1.  Ailinn Shadowfox.  Device Resubmission.  Argent, within a bordure engrailed enpoint of trefoils vert, a fox's mask sable.

Returned for conflict on the April 2005 Letter of Reply.

2.  Hélène Boudin.  New Name.

Submitter cares most about the language/culture of the name.  Desired gender is female and submitter wishes to be authentic for French language/culture.
Hélène - Article-French/Occitan Nmaes from the XIII Century.
Boudin - Article-French Surnames from Paris, 1421, 1423 &1438.

3.  Kaspar Morgengras.  New Name and Device.  Azure semy of harps, on a bend argent a natural tiger's head affronty sable, orbed and langued gules.

Submitter cares most about the sound of the name and the desired gender is male.
Both names are German in origin and consistent with timeframe.  "Kaspar" can be found in the article "Late Period German Masculine Names" by Talan Gwynek, on the Laurel site, documented to 1401-1450 in Plauen.  "Morgengras" is found in the article "German Names from 1495:  Surnames" by Aryanhwy merch Catmael, on th eMedieval Names Archive and also at www.ellipsis.cx/~liana/names/german/surnames1495.html (copies provided)

4.  Kieran Blake.  Device Resubmission and 2 new badges.

Device - Per pale argent and azure, a masculyn counterchanged.
Device returned for further work due to conflict on  September 2005 LoI.
Badge 1 - Fieldless, a masculyn argent
Badge 2 - Azure, within a bordure embattled Or, on a flame Or, a heart gules.

5.  Liu Yuan Ming.  New Name and Device.  Sable, pagoda within a dragon in annulo Or.

Submitter will not accept major changes to name, cares most about the language/culture and desired gender is male.
These name elements are all found in Report 2346 of the Academy of Saint Gabriel.  The family name "Liu", meaning "an axe; to kill; a family name", and the article says that "a ming consisted of one or two syllables".  The ming "Yuan Ming" is described as meaning, "Bright/Intelligent beginning."  (documentation included)

6.  Madeleine de Seraucourt.  New Name

Name originally passed on October 2000 LoAR.
Desired gender is feminine and submitter wishes name to be authentic for 14th-15th C. Flemish time/language/culture.

uande Visschereye - Flemish Names from Bruges.

8.  Mari the Far Travelled.  Resubmission of Device.  Per bend azure and vert a pegasus couped at the shoulder contourny between three compass stars Or.

9.  Saito Shintarou Takauji.  New Name.

Desired gender is male and submitter is interested in having the name be authentic for the Japanese culture.
Documentation is via St. Gabriel Report #3020.  Documentation is attached.

10.  Simon Montgumery.  Resubmission of Badge.  A compass rose argent charged with a capital letter S gules.

11.  Vasilii Volchogo Zuba syn.  Resubmission of Device and New Badge.
Name passed on April 2004 LoAR.
Device - Per pale vert and sable three chevronels ermine.

Badge - Vert, on a pale sable fimbriated three bears passant argent.
