Unto the esteemed Elisabeth de Rossingol, Laurel Queen of Arms, Margaret MacDuibhshithe, Pelican Queen of Arms, Jean Marie Lacroix, Wreath Queen of Arms, and the College of Arms of the Society for Creative Anachronisim, does Æðeluulf Munec, Rampart Herald, send wishes of protection this witches night. I write you this day concerning the October Letter of Intent for the Kingdom of the Outlands. It is our intent to register the following items:

  1. al-Barran, Barony of; Order of the Hammer of al-Barran New Order Name. The Branch Name was registered "at some point"; See RETURNS for the badge.
  2. Alrekr Boleslavov - New Name & Device - Per chevron sable and argent, two lions combattant and a tree blasted and eradicated counterchanged.
    Originally submitted as [Alrik Boleslavsson], the surname was changed for linguistic compatibility, and the given name was changed for a documented spelling. Additionally, the blazon was changed from "Per chevron, sable and argent, two lions rampant combattant and a tree blasted and eradicated counterchanged."
  3. Ansteys Darcy New Name & Device - Gules, a chevron ermine cotised Or and in base a rose argent, barbed and seeded sable.
  4. Broddi Hornabrjótr - Name
  5. Kieran Blake - (Fieldless), a masculyn fleur-de-lysé per saltire argent and azure.The associated name was registered in February 2005
  6. Slaine inghean Ui Sheanain - Quarterly sable and argent, a thistle counterchanged. The associated name was registered in September 2002.
  7. Sorcha inghean Eoin - Name
  8. Thorsteinn Vandringsmann - Sable, on a cross nowy argent an Elder futhark rune Manaz sable, all within a bordure argent; The name associated with this device was registered in September 1995 via the Outlands.
  9. Tristan de Gilbert - Argent, a palm tree couped sable and in base between two vols, on a point entee fleury gules, a vol argent The associated name was registered in August 2004. On the same Letter the device submission, Argent, a palm tree couped sable and two vols, on a point pointed fleury gules a vol argent was returned for a redraw: "The point pointed is too large, issuing from too high up the sides of the shield." This redraw addresses that concern. The submitter has permission to conflict with Berold de Gilbert, Argent, a palm tree couped sable and in base between two Latin crosses fourchy, on a point entee fleury gules, a Latin cross fourchy argent, and with Roger de Gilbert, Argent, a palm tree couped sable and two roses proper one and two, on a point pointed fleury gules a rose argent barbed and seeded proper. It is also one CD (change in type of tertiaries) from the Philippe de Gilbert, Argent, a palm tree couped sable between in base two fleurs-de-lys, on a point pointed flory at the point gules, a fleur-de-lys argent, thus clearing his blanket letter of permission to conflict (the two specific letters are included in the packet).
  10. Walkelin Montgomery - Name

This ends the October Letter of Intent, dated this 31st day of October in the year of grace 2007, being the forty-second year of the society, on All Hallow's Eve. I remain in service to Crown and Laurel Sovereign.
