I present the following items for your consideration:

1- Benedict Hawkins.  New Name Submission.
 (Caer Galen)

"Benedict" is cited in the online article "Men's Given Names from Early 13th Century England" by Talan Gwynek.   This is in the Names section of the Laurel site.
"Hawkins" is listed in Reaney & Wilson.  It is an undated form but other forms range from 1248 to 1570.  Client would prefer this spelling but "Haukyns" is documented to 1327 and would be acceptable as the sound is the same.
Submittor will NOT accept major changes and the sound is most important.  Desired gender is male.

2- Constanza Marina de Huelva. New Device submission.  Azure, two pallets argent each charged with three anchors sable.
(Dragonspine)

This name was accepted by Laurel in November 2000

3-Keridwen Andersdottir.  Primary Name Change.
(Caer Galen)

Previous name "Keridwen Androsoun" was accepted by Laurel in February 1997.
Client wishes to keep her registered personal name "Keridwen".  However, she wishes to change her surname to a more appropriately feminine form for a Viking persona.
In the "Finnish Names" article on the Laurel site by Rouva Gertrud, the author states that "a patronymic was the norm" for surnames and uses the example Appollonia Pedersdottir (Pietari's daughter).  "Anders" is in this article's name list as a masculine name.
Submitter will accept minor spelling or construction changes to get as close as possible to "Andersdottir".  The sound of the name is most important and the gender is feminine.

4- Margaret of the Outlands.  New Badge.  (Fieldless) A duck naiant conjoined to a billet wavy argent.
(Caer Galen)

This name was accepted as a holding name in the August 2001 Laurel LoAR.

5- Savina La Brune.  New Device submission.  Vert, on a bezant a frog vert, an orle Or.
(Caer Galen)

This name was accepted by Laurel on the February 2005 LoAR.

Thus ends the June 2005 Letter of Presentation.

In service and duty,

Cameron, Castle Herald
