I present the following items for your consideration:

(Unless otherwise noted, all submittors will accept all changes, have no authenticity requests, and wish a name with the "common sense" gender, based on the submitted name.)

  1. Adelina Marie de Castile. New Name and Device. Purpure chaussé argent, a triskele argent.
    (Blaiddwyn)
Adelina is found in "Feminine Given Names in a Dictionary of English Surnames" by Talan Gwynek dated to XXXX, under the header Adeline. Marie is found in the same article under the header Mary dated to XXXX. Castile is found in "Spanish names from Late 15th Century" by Juliana de Luna under Locative Surnames: de Castil. The client cares most about the given name "Adelina," and desires a feminine name.
  2. Anna MacTaggart. Device Resubmission (L). Per bend sinister gules and argent, a vol and a dragon sejant erect counterchanged.
    (Fontaine dans Sable)
The previous submission, Per bend sinister argent and gules, a dragon sejant erect and a winged maiden counterchanged was returned by Laurel in December 1999 because the maiden was not in a blazonable posture. This redesign removes that problem.
  3. Caleb Stewart. Device Resubmission (K). Sable, a stag and a greyhound combatant Or.
    (Dragonsspine)
His previous submission with the same blazon was returned for incorrect depiction of combatant on the October 2004 Letter of Response. This redraw addresses the problem.
  4. Ewen Adin MacKail. New Name and Device. Per pale argent and vert, a pile inverted gyronny vert and argent, in chief a roundel counterchanged.
    (Blaiddwyn)
    Ewen
is documented from "A History of Clan Cameron" found at http://www.clan-cameron.org/history.html, which states, "Ewen MacAllan (thirteenth chief), Captain of Clan Cameron, must have succeeded his father, Allan MacDonald Duibh, some time after 1480." Adin is listed as a biblical name, and is documented from the The Bible, Revised Standard Edition, website at http://etext.lib.Virginia.edu/etcbin/rsv2www?specfile=/texts/english… Unfortunately, the url is cut off, and all attempts to reconstruct failed. The photocopies show the name Adin in several places, including Ezra, chapter 2, and Ezra, chapter 8. MacKail is a header form found in "Clan Cameron Septs" at http://www.clan-cameron.org/septs.html, but there is no date for this spelling. The submitter will NOT accept major changes, cares most about the sound, and desires a masculine name. The submitter specifically allows the middle name Adin to be dropped if it is a bar to registration.
  5. Fontaine dans Sable, Barony of. New Badge. Azure, a palm leaf palewise Or within an orle of fleurs-de-lys points to center argent. For Order of the Golden Palm.
This order name was sent to Laurel on the August 2004 Letter of Intent.
  6. Fontaine dans Sable, Barony of. New Badge. Azure, a lion's gambe bendwise Or armed and distilling gouttes gules within an orle of fleurs-de-lys points to center argent. For Order of the Golden Paw.
  7. Fontaine dans Sable, Barony of. New Badge. Azure, in bend a palm tree bendwise and a lion couchant guardant Or within an orle of fleurs-de-lys points to center argent. For Order of the Oasis Guardians.
  8. Fontaine dans Sable, Barony of. New Badge. Argent, a three-tiered fountain sable spouting azure and in chief two ewers sable distilling into fountain top azure, all within an orle of fleurs-de-lys points to center argent. For Order of the Oasis Keepers.
  9. Kristyan MacRae. New Name.
    (Fontaine dans Sable)
The only documentation given for Kristyan "Withycombe pg. 61." I find the name listed in Withycombe, 3rd under the header Christian(a) (pg. 65) as a feminine given name variant spelling in 1450. The only documentation given for MacRae is "Reaney pg. 293." I find the name listed as Macrae under the header Macrae in Reaney, 2nd impression (1961). Submitter will NOT accept major changes, cares most about an unspecified meaning, and desires a feminine name.
  10. Ryan de Caergybi. New Augmentation. Per pale argent and gules, a griffin between six feathers in annulo counterchanged, and for augmentation, in fess point on an inescutcheon sable, a wagon wheel argent.
    (al-Barran)
The submitter was awarded an Augmentation of Arms on 10 May 2003.
  11. Thomas Winterbourne of Kent. New Device. Per pale argent and sable, a tree between four spur rowels all counterchanged.
    (al-Barran)
  12. Uilliam Mac an Ruaidh. New Change of Name from William of Monmouth.
    (Bofharrach)
No disposition of the original name (registered February of 1986 via Ansteorra) is listed; default action is release upon registration of the change. The submitter provides a copy of Academy of Saint Gabriel Report 2941, which gives "Uilliam mac an Ruaidh" as a plausible 16th century Scottish name. I note the capitalization on Mac does not match the documentation, but also that there are examples in the report which do capitalize Mac. The client will NOT accept major changes, cares most about the meaning, which he gives as "Uilliam, son of the Red," and is interested in authenticity for "Scots" language and/or culture.
  13. Uilliam Mac an Ruaidh. New Badge. (Fieldless) On a compass star Or, a wolf's paw print sable.
    (Bofharrach)
Blazoned on the forms as A wolf's paw print sable Within a Mullet of 8 Points, greater and lesser Or the blazon was changed to reflect current blazon practice. There are four greater and four lesser points on the mullet, commonly known as a "compass star." This name is submitted under Number 12 above, and the submitter's currently registered name is William of Monmouth (February 1986, Ansteorra).
  14. Viğarr leğrhals. Device Resubmission (K). Per pale azure and Or, a double-bitted axe, and in base two arrows in saltire counterchanged.
    (Dragonsspine)
The previous submission with the same blazon was returned for lack of identifiability of the axe handle after counterchanging on the October 2004 Letter of Response. This redraw shows a much wider handle to address the problem. Thus ends the January 2005 Letter of Presentation.

In service and duty,
Sorcha, White Stag
