Unto Angus Reid MacFarlane, White Stag Principal Herald, and the College of Heralds of the Kingdom of the Outlands, does Khalidah bint Yahya'a, Rampart Herald, send her greetings.
What follows is the Letter of Response for May 2017 CE, ruling on the April 2017 Letter of Presentation (http://oscar.sca.org/index.php?action=100&loi=4511).
I would like to thank all of the heralds who were kind enough to provided commentary.

The following items were RETURNED for further work:

Griffith atte Dernedyngle - Device Resubmission. Per fess sable and argent, a compass star between a battle axe in bend sinister and a battle axe reversed in bend Or
Returned for a redraw due to unity of posture as each charge needs its own descriptor (in bend, in bend sinister) to describe its placement on the field. This is the same primary reason it was returned previously on the August 2016 LoR (http://rampart.outlandsheralds.org/2016-07-lop/1608-lor.html). Iago Martyn - New Household Name & New Badge. Company of Villeins & Per pale sable and Or, a chevron inverted counterchanged
The household name is returned due to improper name construction as it does not follow the household/order naming patterns. Commentors expressed concern of the generalization of a group of individuals as a household name especially without proper documentation of such patterns existing in period. The badge is returned for a redraw as the chevron inverted is too low. The bottom edge of the chevron inverted's edge should sit slightly above the fess line. Shadrick Romani Natalia - New Device. Sable, a bend sinister gules and in chief three mullets in fess Or, overall a wolf rampant argent
Returned for a redraw due to color on color. A gules bend cannot be placed on a sable field without being fimbriated in argent or Or unless the submitter can provide documentation for the element existing in period heraldry. Commentors also expressed concern over the placement of the mullets as it is an unusual arrangement and placement on the field.
