Unto Angus Reid MacFarlane, White Stag Principal Herald, and the College of Heralds of the Kingdom of the Outlands, does Khalidah bint Yahya'a, Rampart Herald, send her greetings.
What follows is the Letter of Response for August 2016 CE, ruling on the July 2016 Letter of Presentation (http://oscar.sca.org/index.php?action=100&loi=4002).
I would like to thank all of the heralds who were kind enough to provided commentary.

Constantin Æiríksson - New Device. Gyronny arrondi gules and Or, each Or gyron charged with a raven tail to center sable
Returned for a redraw because we do not allow inverted animate charges in SCA heraldry except when in recognized orientation, such as 'in annulo' [LoAR February 1999, p. 10 (http://heraldry.sca.org/loar/1999/02/lar.html)] and these are not in annulo. Griffith atte Dernedyngle - New Device. Per fess sable and argent, a mullet of eight points between a battle axe in bend sinister and a battle axe reversed in bend Or

Reynard des Rochers - New Device. Or, a saltire between four double-headed eagles azure
