Unto Omar Mohammed Mirzazadeh, White Stag Principal Herald, and the College of Heralds of the Kingdom of the Outlands, does Randal Carrick, Rampart Herald send his greetings. What follows is the Letter of Response for May 2010CE, ruling on the April 2010 Letter of Presentation. - Ilaria de Felice. New Name and Device. Azure, on a pile throughout argent, a phoenix sable rising from flames gules. Blazon changed by Rampart from Azure, a pile throughout argent, in chief a phoenix sable rising from flames gules.
- Jethro Stille. New Badge. Gules, a mullet of six points voided between the blades of a Zulfikar inverted Or.
- Jethro Stille. New Badge. Per fess azure and Or, two hands in birkat kohanim and a double-headed eagle counterchanged.
- Johann of the Northern Moors. New Device. Argent, three sprigs of heather vert, flowered purpure, a mount vert.
- Laurent de Lourdes. New Name. See RETURNS for device.
- Lukas Weber. New Name and Device. Quarterly sable and purpure, in sinister chief a cross potent argent.
- Roana Robertson. Name and Device Resubmission (Kingdom). Vert, a griffin couchant, wings elevated and addorsed, between three roundels argent.
- Symon Cranmere. New Name and Device. Gules, a crane in its vigilance argent beaked and limbed Or, within a bordure embattled Or.
- þóra Sigurðardóttir. New Name and Device. Argent, a reremouse volant, wings addorsed, sable within a bordure engrailed sable. Blazon changed by Rampart from Argent, a flittermouse volant, wings addorsed, sable within a bordure engrelee sable.
- William Flanagan. New Badge. Purpure, on a bend sinister Or, a quatrefoil slipped vert.
The following items were returned for further work:
- Elizabeth Anne Grene. Name Resubmission (?) and New Device. Argent, in bend sinister two banners purpure and vert each suspended from poles fesswise sable. This submission is being PENDED for further research. Submitter indicated that this is a Name Resubmission, but included no information about the previous submission or the date of return. To date I have been unable to verify any previous submission for this submitter, and will not be able to send these submissions to Laurel without evidence of a previous name submission or a payment of the submission fee for a new name submission.
- Francesco Di Napoli. New Device. Per fess sable and argent, in chief a 4 pointed mullet argent. Device RETURNED for conflict with the Flag of Somalia, Azure, a mullet argent. There is only 1 CD for the change to the filed tincture, as the change of position of the mullet is forced and does not count for difference. Further, there is no difference granted between a mullet of 4 points and a mullet of five points: "The rules for change of type of mullets follow the rules for change of number of charges. Mullets of n points will get a CD from mullets of m points if RfS X.4.f gives a CD for changing the number of charges from n to m. [Kouac Myklos, 02/02, A-Ansteorra]"
- Gwenhevare inghean Roland. New Name and Device. Purpure, a winged unicorn rampant, on a chief argent three thistles proper. The Name is RETURNED for the name being in too many languages. As commenters noted: "There's a bit of confusion apparent here. Scotland has two languages, Gaelic and Scots. The latter is very similar to English. The client has documented the Welsh given name as being used in English, though not in Scots. The patronymic particle is Gaelic, while the father's given name is documented as Scots. RfS III.1.a requires that a name element be in a single language". The Device is RETURNED for lack of a name to send it up with.
- Laurent de Lourdes. New Device. Chevronelly argent and azure, three crosses bottony gules. RETURNED for conflict with Archibald Bowyer (7/88, Outlands): Chevronelly argent and azure, three pheons in pall, points to center, gules. One CD for change of type of charge.
- Llewellyn Gwynedd. New Name and Device. Argent, a hart statant vert. The name is RETURNED for presumption vs all the Kings Llewellyn of Gwynedd. Llywelyn the Great, aka Llywelyn ab Iorwerth (c. 1173-1240), was Prince of Gwynedd and ruler of most of Wales. According to the W*******a entry for "Llywelyn", there were at least three other Welsh rulers who bore that name.
