    Unto Randal Carrick, White Stag Principal Herald, and the College of Heralds of the Kingdom of the Outlands, does Khalidah bint Yahya'a, Rampart Herald, send her greetings.

    What follows is the Letter of Response for January 2014 CE, ruling on the December 2013 Letter of Presentation.

    I would like to thank all of the heralds who were kind enough to provided commentary.

    The following items were RETURNED for further work:

    • Bono de Vizcaya New Device. Azure, on a castle of three towers Or a cross couped azure, within a bordure Or semy-de-lys azure
      • Returned for a redraw as the cross is not centered on the castle so it touches the field. Without the cross, the device is in conflict with Barony of Sternfeld, Azure, a tower Or within a bordure Or, mulletty of four points azure, registered February 1987 via the Middle.
    • Emily MacRae New Device. Argent, a bird volant sable and on a sinister tierce gules three lilies in pale argent
      • Returned for a redraw as the College of Heralds has not registered charged tierces since June 1991 (CL 3/8/91 p. 1).
    • Táethen Maculagh New Name and Device. Or, in pale two frets and a sinister gore sable
      • Name returned because the two name elements have a 750 year gap and one is Irish, the other is Scots. Device is returned for a redraw as one of the frets was incomplete making the frets difficult to recognize and blazon.
    • Wilhelm Reissen Device Resubmission. Vert, three bear's pawprints and on a dexter gore Or a broadarrow head reversed vert
      • Name returned for a redraw as the College of Heralds has not registered charged gores since March 1992 (11/1991 CL).

    The following items were PENDED for further Discussion:

    • None

    The following items were forwarded to Laurel Sovereign for final determination:

    • Albrecht von Trier - New Name & New Device. Vert, on a pile raguly throughout Or, a flame gules
    • Aurelia Frenas - New Name & New Device. Quarterly sable and Or, a bee counterchanged
    • Corbin Maculagh - New Name & New Device. Per saltire argent and sable, in pale a one horned anvil sable and a shamrock vert
    • Elizabeth Anne Grene - New Badge. Per pale vert and purpure within a bordure argent
    • Isabel O Sullivan - New Name & New Device. Per fess wavy purpure and barry wavy argent and azure, in chief an axe fesswise argent
    • Isouda de Rhos - New Name & New Device. Per pale azure ermined argent and argent ermined azure, two owls respectant counterchanged argent and azure
    • Keina MacRath - Device Resubmission. Azure, a falcon striking and in chief three mullets voided and interlaced argent

    Thus ends the January 2014 Letter of Response.
